3/4 cup self rising flour

In a mixing bowl cut in butter, add sugar. Beat together egg and milk, add to flour mixture along with cherries and almond. Drop 1 tablespoon at a time unto a lighty greased cookie sheet. Bake at 425 degrees for 12 minutes or until lightly brown. Cool on a wire rack. These are tradionally served fresh at room temperature, spread with butter. |
